The only additional item you may need is a hammer for the stakes. We found that most people would rather use what they have than pay the extra cost for an included hammer
- The tarp is made of 210D ripstop Oxford.
- The poles are made of lightweight & strong carbon fiber.
- The peg stakes are made of lightweight Titanium Alloy
- The Sand stakes are made from Aircraft grade aluminum
- The ropes are 750lbs Parachute Cord

Tips
- If it is windy outside, you may need to weigh down the tarp while it is on the ground (sand, rocks, shoes, an unhelpful buddy, etc.)
- In high winds, setting the up-wind poles higher than the down wind poles will ensure the tarp flies nice and high.
- Having each rope tighten roughly the same will keep the tent centered between all the stakes.
The Padre Tent is just over 12lbs making it 3 times lighter than a traditional canopy tent!
This includes the Tarp, Poles, Ropes, 2 sets of stakes, and bag.
- The bag is 6x6x26 inches
- The tent provides about 225 square ft of shade
- Each pole extends from 26 inches to 7.5 ft tall
The poles extend out and in like a telescope.
They are adjustable from 2 FT - 7.5 FT. This allows you to configure the tent to whatever best fits your needs.
The Padre Tent comes with 2 kinds of stakes:
Titanium peg stake
These stakes are ideal for hard ground. The narrow design also makes them good for rocky soil.
Aircraft-grade aluminum sand stakes
These are the best soft soil stakes on the market. If you are at the beach or somewhere with soft ground, these are the best option.
In compacted sand, you should be able to simply hammer them into the ground and attach your ropes to the top like a normal stake.
In extremely soft ground, you may have to set it up using the included metal wire as illustrated in this link (/pages/padre-soft-soil-stake)
Although these 2 sets of stakes should cover most situations, there may be times where another kind of stake is best fit. There are hundreds of different types so find what is best for your situation, and go with it. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
